Study 4 Wisdom for Dummies

We will be meeting this Wednesday at 10:00 at my home and going over study 4 "Wisdom for Dummies."  I will list the questions below found on page 100 for those of you who may not have a book.  I still have some available if you are interested! 

 

1.  Why is the fear of the Lord the beginning of wisdom for you as a mother?

2.  Honestly evaluate your own attitudes and behaviors.  In what ways do you model a reverence for God?  respect for authority?

3.  How do you balance teaching your children to fear God with teaching them to trust His love? How do your relationships with your children demonstrate this balance?

4.  What ground rules, traditions or disciplines in your home teach your children a reverence for God's authority?

Beaumont Fire Department

Today we had our outing at the Beaumont Fire Departmnet, Part 2!  Since our first outing was cut short by a call, they were kind enough to let us come back and check out what we'd missed the first time!

It was fun going back and getting to see everything in the fire truck and what it could do. Spraying the hose was definitely the highlight of the boys day!

Beaumont Fire Department Outing - Take Two!

This Wednesday the 20th is our do over outing at the Beaumont Fire Department!  We will meet there at 10:00 am at 628 Maple Ave in Beaumont.  Lets hope they don't get another call this time! 

A lot of people have been asking about the summer schedule.  We will take a break from the study but still do a combination of outings and park days.  Please think about how often you would like to meet, any specific outings you'd like to do, etc. and we will talk about it at our next meeting.

Park Day at Wildwood Park

This Wednesday the 13th is our next scheduled Park Day at Wildwood Park at 36699 Wildwood Canyon Road in Yucaipa.  It looks like the weather should be nice so hope to see you all there!  Remember, we don't have an attendance policy so come when you can!  You are always welcome whenever you can be here and you're missed when you're not!
One change to the schedule I wanted to mention is on April 20th for our next outing.  We were scheduled to do Storytime at teh Chatigny Rec Center but since we already did this on a cancelled park day and our Fire Station outing was cut short, I've rescheduled us for the Fire Station!  I know lots of people couldn't make it and the ones that did were disappointed so this should be a fun do-over!  If it happens again, we'll just make it a park day at Stewart Park just a block away. 

Study 3 "The Forest For the Trees"

This Wednesday at 10:00 at my house we will be going over study 3 "The Forest For the Trees."  We will be reviewing the questions on pages 75 and 76 for our discussion.  I still have books available for those of you who haven't been able to make the studies yet and will list the questions below in case you don't have one yet.  Hope to see everyone there!

1. Is it difficult for you to think of motherhood as a mniistry or a calling?  Why or why not?
2. Up until this point, have you had a "blueprint" for motherhood?  If so, what is it?
3. Read Proverbs 8:1-5 and 9:1-6.  Do you believe wisdom is seeking you?
4. What distracts you from seeking and yielding to wisdom?
