I love to hear people from Southern California ask about this pumpkin patch. They say they have heard about it and they have been meaning to check it out. I like to shrug my shoulders and say as nonchalantly as possible, "Oh, it's nice. We go there every year." When in reality, I'm just tryin' to keep a lid on how cool this place really is!!! This past Wednesday was no exception. The Little Lambs visited the Pumpkin Patch!
Grab your strollers ladies! We are huntin' pumpkins!
We arrived en masse, ready to enjoy the crisp morning!
Our group jumped on the tractor ride around the farm where we had a "behind the scenes" view of a real-life working farm! Yee Haw!
After a wild ride around the farm we were seated for an informative lecture on the intricacies of pumpkin and all that it entails! Did you know that the stuff you find in a can of pumpkin at the store comes from something more along the lines of a GOURD? Shocking, I know!
The pumpkin lecture ended and we were ushered to the petting zoo. Our little lambs were able to play with some little goats. Almost everybody was thrilled to feed a goat, some decided to lick the goat.
Our final group event was picking out a pumpkin. In some families, this is very serious business!
The kids had a blast and the mom's got a chance to spend some time together!
It was an absolute success!
